hiSky receives significant order for Smartellite™ Dynamic Ku-band terminals
The contract is from a leading global satellite communications company that will offer the solution to it’s worldwide customer base
Tel Aviv, September 16, 2020 – hiSky Ltd., a pioneer of affordable voice and data satellite communications and provider of satellite-connected IoT services, announced today a significant order for its Smartellite™ Dynamic Ku-band satellite terminal, by a global reseller and a leading satellite communications company.
The new Smartellite™ Dynamic Ku-band terminal complements the company’s ability to provide global coverage of its services, both onshore and offshore. Designed for use in territories where the Ku frequency offers a significant advantage, or where Ka frequencies are simply not available, it meets the growing demand across a range of industries, including fisheries, fleet management, agriculture, oil & gas and more, for low and medium data rates for IoT applications.
This significant contract for the Ku-band terminals reflects the trust in hiSky’s technology developed in the course of the company’s long-term strategic partnership with the reseller.
The Smartellite™ Dynamic Ku-band terminal offers on-the-move capabilities, low weight and compact size, at an affordable price. The terminal includes a built-in MODEM and Electronically Steerable Antenna and connects to hiSky’s comprehensive Network Management System (NMS), hiSky360 which is developed in hiSky UK.
The Smartellite™ Dynamic Ku-band terminal has been designed to enable communication with both GEO and LEO satellites for higher data transfer rates.
